Service Indicator - VAGCOM

Post by KarlosW »

Hi. I've a 02 1.4tdi 9n. Does anyone know what are the correct adaptation in Vagcom for the Standard Variable Services. I think it's 15k, the service indicator used to Say INSP 1 or 2 and oil. The Garage has set mine for servicing every 6,000 and they don't know how to set it back. Cheers

I'd go for 10K miles and 366 days.

Edit:- I'm guessing that you know that VCDS will help you identify which channels to change values in.

Edit Edit:- Sorry, you are wanting variable servicing, why, I'd think for most if not all people 10K / 366 days is fine?

It suits me on the variable, I've had the car since new. I did 18k in last year. I don't like service bongs going off too often.

Actually, having just bumped into some VCDS adaptive channel stuff, I've noticed that it lists 15K - but that is in KM which equates to roughly 10K miles.

You can set these values to 30K (20K miles) and 730 days for variable service use I think.
