Looking smart 8) Like the way you've only painted the two vertical strips on the front lower grille thing, nice touch!

Would give the newly painted lower parts a good coating of wax for protection, if you haven't already done so :)

Nice work!

Just don't like the front badge in black. Instead of that I would have painted all the front grill and lower grill also in car colour. In my car I haven't done this because it's black (the diference isn't that big) but when the plastics start to become really ugly I will colour code my car.

Fisrt I'm finishing my ICE and then leather & alcantra interior.

@ n3onx,
i would have prefered a "grill ohne emblem" but 1 they are hard to get hold of here and they are expensive and 2 i don't want to spoil the bonnet and have problems in later years when i want to sell my car. besides, if i get bored of the black badge i can always replace it with my spare one :)

also,

so the grill section isn't worth painting, and personally i don't really like it when the whole front is painted. i think it looks a lot better when there is a balance of black and the body color, but that's just me :)

@ aaron, no need for a body kit now, this is a cheapo presto solution :)

cheers!

It's an opinion :) But as far as the paint came off, if the plastic is well prepared the paint will come off as much as on the body strips. I all depends on the job is done. ;)

that's true, the plastic should be treated professionally before any major painting job, but the guy at the bodyshop told me too that the lower grill itself won't hold the paint no matter how much you sand it, primer it and spray it. at least there would be a color mismatch. i didn't ask any further because i didn't want it to be painted anyway, you might want to ask around some bodyshops or PM sbp when you will be painting yours :)
