G40 Style Exhausts

Post by Toby »

Hi guys, anyone know where i can find a similar looking exhaust to the

Polo g40 or a company that can supply a cat-back system specifically for

the polo gti, trying to stay away from universal backboxes or will a

magnex one be ok. If i have to stick with a universal should i get the

centre pipe to be the same size as original or slightly bigger, don't want

to loose precious back-pressure which is vital on a n/a car. Also, will i

need spacers if using coilovers (h&r) and dropping 60-70mm?

Help would be really appreciated. cheers toby

Right then...

I had a 70mm drop with H&R coilovers and it was H A R D.

I wouldn't really recommend you go that low for long periods... Just the show season, then crank her back up a bit!

If you're using the standard BBS Splitties that come with the car, then 20mm hubcentric spacers and long bolts on the rear are a must.

It should look like this once it's done!

Oh, and exhausts...

Try Supersprint, Courtney had one on his and it was really nice.

Magnex ones are far too big for the car and hang down too low.
