BMS JB1 Performance Tuner

Post by green_comet »

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone on the forum has a BMS JB1 installed on their 6C GTI and if so how are you finding it?

I've been thinking about getting one as I have access to a dyno for fine tuning and I would prefer something that can easily be removed.

I heard these are very good.

Can be programmed by the user (if they choose)
Can data log
Can be turned off
Can be removed.

Hi bud. I have one. And love it.

My gains are amazing. With a downpipe only i gained 25wkw and 65nm on the wheels.

The car makes nice power now. Image

This is wheel power. Dyno is very hard to make numbers so is very true

This is wheel power. This was. Dp . Intake and cooler with the jb1 unit. You can set your map6 to your liking. My has lots of room for gains still.

Chris what setting you running in map 6?

Is your car manual?

And 1 last, Is the downpipe easy to swap? Can it be done without messing with driveshafts?

Car is a auto . Swop out is so so easy. Only time issue is to let the pipe cool down.

Down pipe is made by Tmss. They are the best here. Same quality as Miltek

Very cool, that's a nice looking dump pipe!

Did it throw any codes not running the cat converter?

No errors at all. Nothing. Been on the car for a year now.
Goes for services and all with it on. Best mod ever.

Hi all,

I was reading over the post and I'm aware that JB1 adjusts fuel and boost to keep the AFR in line... well after looking at the photographs above if you have a look at the user adjustable settings and all of the fuel settings are set to 0.... so it seems that JB1 is a bit well.... i'll let you guys finish off that sentence.

Just a heads up incase you're buying a JB1 based on that fact.

Based on the top photo. This unit was set for a dp only. So this was the safe way of doing it. The unit will be tuned next week for my meth . Cooler . Intake and eth upgrade.
