Re: Talk about Torque
It is a great little engine. The torque was what persuaded me to buy the SEL vs the Match as I felt the extra torque would offset coming from a bigger diesel! So far it has done the job well, more so around town/country lanes than motorway though.

You would think it was bigger than a 1 litre engine, many of my passengers have.

Pretty sure my old 1 litre Fiesta had more torque than that.

The 125ps ecoboost is near identical at 200nm. The 100ps has less at 170nmScott Bounce wrote:Pretty sure my old 1 litre Fiesta had more torque than that.

Re: Talk about Torque
Yep I had the ZS125, so it's not really groundbreaking this new engine tbh. Ford also do a 140ps version of their 1 litre.Oli3000 wrote:The 125ps ecoboost is near identical at 200nm. The 100ps has less at 170nmScott Bounce wrote:Pretty sure my old 1 litre Fiesta had more torque than that.

Do you have the front central armrest ?calummcauley1 wrote:i have this engine in my 65 plate rline in white and it really is a great engine , you can get really impressive mpg to in it if driven economically but als has enough oomphh to get you going

It's the one thing I don't like, when it's down it's hard to change gear and apply the handbrake. When it's up I keep hitting my elbow on it......or is it just me !
Apart from that really pleased with the car

Re: Talk about Torque
yes i have the armrest i find it very useful and use it almost all the time , i am tall though and have my seat all the way back and down and steering wheel fully retracted , dont know if the seating would make a differemce though
i can easily change gear but using the hand brake it a little difficult but i never use it unless im parking up and then the armrest is upright anyway
