...and it had the strangest colour paint

It was almost exactly the same colour as that light orange/red that you see on 95-97 Audi A4's.

Never seen anything like it before on a new Polo to be honest, all I can say was it was debadged and was definately a Sport model.

Can't see the colour in the UK brochure so perhaps it was a import or the persons just paid a fortune to have it done at the factory (was a '51' reg). I'll probably pop that way again today so I'll bring my camera along for you.

And yes, looked real nice

Found that while browsing Autotrader. They just list it as Red so I'm still bemused as to what the colours actually called

it ouinds like a pearl so you might be able to find it on vws site unless its been repainted in a chamelion color

I think the colour is 'Berry Red' and its a pearl effect paint.
