My car went in for the recal and my sorry excuse for a dealers managed to make the engine checklight come on somehow. Apparently this can happen with the recall and it did on mine.
well thats what my m8 who works there said.
Then i get a reciept thing to sign saying 'recall' then the other is find fault with throttle sensor, replace fix wiring?! WTF ??
SO i looked under my dash and they have wrapped insulation tape round one ofn the furry spiral wrap stock wires, and left some of the loom drapping down and havent been assed to hang it back up by its little clips. WTF did they do, melt some wiring?!?!
Im writing a 3 A4 page letter on complaint ATM to VW UK about my s**t experience ive had since ive had this car.

Make sure you...
...call VW customer line on 0800 711811 and select option 3. They are ready to assist you with any issues you have and take all complaints very seriously now, especially after the Pedal Box Recall fiasco.
