Anyone have any issues registering on the portal? I have account but it won't recognize my vin? Only got car last Friday wondered if something not right at dealers as myvw still saying car is nearly here too!
What do you get once you register anyway on the car net portal ? I have tried Android auto on my car and that all works so I know I have for sure. Do you get anything else on apps or anything?

The polo does not have the "Net" feature of Car Net App Connect.
With some cars - mostly the high end/hybrid/e-models you can use an app on your phone to lock/unlock/sound horn/turn heating on/open windows. But the Polo does not have that - only the "app connect".

Did you get any more info on this? It won't let me register my 2016 BlueGT VIN either, so maybe Oli3000 is right.

You can't register unless you have the sat nav. If you do then you can use the guide and inform functions. If not you just have app connect like me and you can't register
