Help! some idiot has bumped into me

Post by carmadaaron »

some idiot bumped into the back of me in a car park and it took off a wee flake of paint off the back bumper. (there is now a spot of black plastic)

i was wondering if i should use touch up (tipexx style) or a spray can.

Cheers

Why don't you just make a third party claim on his insurance?

It's a new car, don't screw up the car by doing it yourself.
Paintjob by a professional.

i'd agree with that one. You'll only mess it up more by doing it your self, not that i'm doubting your skills but it's just my opinion.

touch up paint isn't the final solution by the way, i had two bits with the black plastic showing on my rear bumpers and i had the bodyshop apply the touch up paint. it's not obvious from far away but if you look closely it's still ugly  so you might want to cover it up but later you'll want to have the paint fully repaired by your dealer.

the problem is that it was parked in a car park and when i picked it up at the end of the day (5.30) the idiot had already went away! :x

@ logistix
fully repaired by dealer will cost me £££s

Why does it have to be the dealer that repairs it?
