Upgrade H7 Headlights to BiXenons in Polo GT TSi

are you sure your BCM doesn't end in 087 R?
It is quite important to be sure...
Either way, you'll need BCM Max: 7H0 937 089x, 7H0 937 090x, 7E0 937 089x or 7E0 937 090x. The most recent and comprehensive is the 7E0 937 090x BCM.
You'll be needing a wiring loom for BCM Max conversion.

Hello jladnil, welcome.

You need to change your BCM to a 7E0 BCM Max (2017)

Apart, you'll need:
- wiring for BCM Max adaptation.
- wiring for automatic lights.
- wiring for Bixenon headlights, and new wiring for your current fog lights without BCM control.
- wiring for AFS system (if you install it)

However, we need to see the details of your 6R in depth. VCDS autoscan, and images (in the same way as the other topics that have been opened in this forum for these same matters).

Excellent Thread. Went through your full post. I am also planning to get Bi-Xenons For my 2017 Polo Gt TSI from India. Howeve i had a few doubts. My Car came with 6RU 937 097 R BCM with RLS,Cruise Control,auto wipers, Cornering Lights etc. Will the Bi-Xenons with LED DRL fit directly to my model or do I have to change the BCM? Also if i change my headlight switch with auto headlight will it be just plug and play?Sorry for not providing any VCDS data as I don't have the cable yet.

As ciclo and iichel have mentioned, you have to change to 7E0 Max to get all the OEM functionalities of the BiXenons. And the wiring in our Indian Polo does not suit automatic headlights. In our Polo, the lights are directly controlled through the headlight switch and not the BCM. You will need to change the wiring to get this. As you already have the rain sensor in your windshield, you will save that upgrade (I had to change the windshield to get the rain and light sensor).

Create a separate thread with all the details of your car - VCDS auto scan, pictures of the fuse carrier and relay carrier, pictures of the headlight switch connector etc. That will help the experts to give you a better guidance. Ciclo is the Master in this

The most important benefit is that stock BCM (087) does not support BiXenons. 090 BCM supports BiXenons with all the features - DRL, cornering light, low beam getting powered when flashing the high beam etc.
