I understand you perfectly, but you already know all the effort that has to be done to get a small symbol in the MFA +.

Benzinkopf's 2012 VW POLO 6R MK5 1.2TSI 105HP DSG
Hi everyone.
need some helps and advices again from all masters in here.
fyi, my next project for my ride is still the bixenon and auto levelling which i’m collecting all the necessary parts and wirings right now.
only then, i will be looking at HBA etc.
but in the meantime, I always wanted to have 3pin power plug inside the car for laptop charging etc which for me a very convenience function since i’m doing almost 45,000 km/year.
As of now, i know i need some parts from Audi group for such option, but i would really like to ask for alternative opinions, options, best solution or any experiences anybody can share hows the performance, battery performance etc with such device installed...

I've got the OEM 230V socket from the Touareg 7L. I think it goes up to 150W or something. It's a nice addition and I only use it with the engine running.
There are probably also some 12V to 18V or 12V to 230V adapters available for the cigarette plug.
A 12V to 18V (or whatever your laptop uses) makes more sense. AC - DC - AC transformation is not very efficient.

yes. im looking at the inverter setup. but honestly im not sure. i would prefer the 7L solution. 230V 150W. seems to be more n enough? any specific part number? i saw the one from passat cc, but i wonder where should we hide the inverter. its big!

I have the 7P6907155C. I've hidden it in the double bottom, where the spare wheel and tools go.

so you dont have the sparewheel? would really appreciate and love to see how you mount the inverter there. as far as i know, theres only bare metal down there.iichel wrote:I have the 7P6907155C. I've hidden it in the double bottom, where the spare wheel and tools go.

I do have a spare wheel but it's the 'GTI' layout of the boot. So there is also the battery down there and a lot of foam.
The spare wheel is a 3,5Jx18 (18 inch and very thin) spare wheel. So the space in the 'double bottom' is filled with a battery, foam, spare wheel, tools, fusebox, dynaudio amp and inverter.

Nope so far. I’ve done it. Would love to, but its pretty much taking out the whole dashboard i think. not an easy and cheap job.Ugabista wrote:Hi, do you can show how? Do you have any link?benzinkopf wrote:Old cluster - Modified EEPROM for staging active
