Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
ciclo, I have a question about Kess.
Is it possible to copy the ECU file from a Polo 1.2 TSI and write it in another Polo 1.2 TSI (same ECU hardware and software version)?

Ciclo can you give me any info on what needs coded for the Direct TPMS retro fit on the ABS please?
I know that my car is 6C but hoping that my ABS may be the same coding wise!!!!!!
This is my ABS at the moment.

Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
It is a good question now that we are discussing this issue.
Mainly Kess V2 or K-tag and others (galleto and a long etc) are used in this regard, but you have to take into account several things to avoid blocking the ECU.
The immobilizer (IMMO), the checksum, the powerclass (gearbox), injectors codes (if any), and any other protection measure to avoid engine damage. Each ECU is a different world and not all have the same protection measures.
IMMO: Within the ECU file there is a set of Bytes that define the IMMO, this is unique for each car, it must match in ECU, Instrument Cluster and Keys/ignition switch.
Checksum: If you modify any Byte of any ECU file it is necessary to correct the checksum. Inside the ECU files there are many Bytes "empty" of information, these empty spaces/bytes are used to correct the checksum.
There are several programs that can solve all this (WinOLS, etc). Many hours of study and experience are necessary to handle them correctly. Many hours.
It is the main reason why many engineers or specialists in these matters can do all this for you ..., and in this way avoid that you end up with your ECU blocked or in the trash.
In the case you comment, it would be necessary to correct the IMMO and consequently the checksum with one of those programs.
There are also programs for IMMO OFF, but you put at risk your car... to be stolen. There are programs for everything.
The IMMO is the main reason why I wanted my VW dealer to activate the Gra_High on my 6R...
(I'm sorry for this brick , you must bear in mind that I am a newbie in these matters)

Hello Scott, I wish I could help you, but the 6C and its ABS units are unknown to me.Scotty_boy vw wrote: ↑Sun Nov 26, 2017 2:57 pm Ciclo can you give me any info on what needs coded for the Direct TPMS retro fit on the ABS please?

6C ABS = 26 Bytes long
6R ABS = 18 Bytes long
Maybe you will find better information in the forums dedicated to the Golf (MQB platform), the 6C electronics is similar.
I wish you good luck, it's a good challenge because I think nobody has tried it on a 6C.
Even the TPMS unit and valves/sensors will have to be differents than the ones we used for the 6R. In the 6R it is not necessary to modify the ABS coding.
Maybe you can start looking for information here ..... Related info.

Back to the mod with RDKS (tire pressure monitoring system)
It is possible to reprogram wheel sensors 5Q0907275B to be compatible with 3AA RKDS control unit. This tool could help:

Hi graylscott
Yes, you need a BCM Max for the automatic lights to work.... also the wiring for BCM Max adaptation.
It does not make sense to code your current BCM (High) 087, because it can not manage the automatic lights.
What do you need? (the following information is for informational purposes only)
Look here viewtopic.php?f=62&t=70395&p=525539#p525539
Example: viewtopic.php?f=62&t=69804#p520643 , viewtopic.php?f=62&t=69804#p527267
BCM Max (7E0) = 70 +15 euros
Wiring for BCM Max adaptation = 60 + 10 euros
Wiring for automatic lights = Made for you.
support = free , BCM coding etc........ (you must open a new topic and provide the information)
... and everything will work like a charm in your 6R.
I have now ordered an 7H0 937 090 D
Can you tell me more about the extra loom? Is this something I can make myself? I have lots of extra parts/wire left from making the Auto-headlight harness.
Thanks!

Very Good Information regarding programming TPMS. Can we program any programmable TPMS wheel sensor for 3AA RKDS control unit or only VAG sensors.Dear If we program 433Mhz blank TPMS wheel sensor , can it be detected by our car.

I don't have this tool and have no experience with it. But according that report it is possible to reprogram black 5Q0 sensors into the 3AA. As I have got it works with any programmable sensors.

Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
Hi ciclo,
I have just bought a new vw ameo. It is based on the indian polo platform.
It came with folding mirror option, it has a switch to fold the ORVM mirrors.
My question is how can I program using the VCDS to autofold them.
Second Question is that I have tried enabling the acoustical horn on locking and unlocking. It works on my polo but doesn't work on my ameo.
