Once you swop it for the latest Ibiza you will not need new lights?

Well you seem to want/need to change quite a lot of things, so as it sounds like Polo is not what you want, instead of changing lots of bits, cut to the chase and get an Ibiza as it sounds like it is more your choice of car?

My wife is too old for a fashionable Ibiza (my way of thinking) so I bought her a new Polo!

Edit:- you do know that the Polo and Ibiza are just Skoda Fabias with different set of clothes?

Maybe more Ibiza than Polos are built in European factories.

There aren’t a lot of things I want to change with the car it’s just simply the lights as it has standard lights, I just wanted to let some led’s for it or something like that and I was wondering if I could use 6r ones or if I can only use 6c and if so does anyone have a link. I’m very happy with the 2017 polo considering I’m only 17.

Conor, welcome.

Maybe you’re a bit confused with my fellow comerades here. Don’t get us wrong, we are happy to help. Believe it or not, less than 4 months ago I was a total outsider, but with some effort and some guidance from these guys, I’m able to kind of do anything myself ( electronics related ).

Problem here is that you seem to lack the effort here. Hence we don’t really wanna lend a hand.

Do some research ( there’s more than plenty on the forum ) then just reply in those threads or make a new one like ( this one ).

Regards!

Conor, welcome to the forum.

As you’re UK based, please bear in mind that any changes/modifications you’re proposing to make to the factory build spec of your car (in this instance lights, or bumpers/splitters as per your other discussion thread) are classed as modifications from an insurance point of view. You’ll need to inform your insurer of any such changes/modifications, otherwise you could invalidate your insurance. Depending on what changes you make, your insurer may increase your premium if they consider the changes to represent an increased insurance risk.

As you are a young driver, I suspect your premium is quite high already, so I’d suggest speaking to your insurer before making any modifications so you know if they’re prepared to cover the modifications and if so, what the increased insurance costs would be.

Also, your Polo is a 2017 car, please be aware of the possible implications on your car’s warranty of making modifications to your car.

As SRGTD said watch your insurance and your warranty. You can only use the 6C headlights as your car is based off the New mqb platform.

Also note to run LED headlights you’ll require by law Auto leveling headlights and headlights washers, I’m currently doing this to another car and it’s vastly expensive for £450 just for the auto leveling, although you wont have MOT for 4 years you’d still be spending a ridiculous amount on the headlights to have to remove them before you sell the car in the future.
