 My other half says they are too common - well that would have something to do with the fact a few of us got together with our cars and I think there were 24 of em all together at once

Nice car for frightening people - they get in and are coseted by the leather and wood (real not plastic) then you plant the loud pedal in the carpet (two turbos spool up and 415 bhp gets fed to 265/40 17 rear tyres) and they go very very quiet and are very unsteady on their feet when they get out of the car.........

It's a blast......

PS mine is the one used by Top Gear - I think I've posted the link before on the forum

One drawback - It cost a bloody fortune to maintain and spends 50% of it's time off the road not on it........

Groovy - small point - they are green not black - all of em - looks black in dull light - but in sunlight (boy we haven't seen too much of that this year) it really looks green and they sometimes look tiged with purple too - weird colour it certainly is......

Gender
Male

Age
21-25

Driving licence?
Yes – Full

Car owner?
Yes – My own

Rough value of your car?
£0-£5,000
(think you need to break the lower levels up a bit more mate - on a polo forum like this, the 0-5000s are probably in the vast majority, if not 0-2500, and not a great statistic to work with.... my own is £600-ish and unlikely the lowest value)

Interested in modification?
Yes – A Little
keep it subtle, keep it sweet

Is your car modified?
Yes – A Little (technically speaking... but its no bad boy)

Why haven’t you modified your car more?
Costs
Insurance Premiums
Amount of effort, hassle and particularly time involved vs benefits (the regular maintenance and repair stuff currently takes up 110% of available "car time")

Subcribe to car magazines?
No
(occasionally buy top gear, autocar, etc, if there's something that really catches my eye in the supermarket - otherwise, i'm on the net.. why spend more?)

Your car knowledge? (1 – Nothing. 5 – A lot)
Cars in general, . . 3 . . . not so bad
Car audio systems, . 2 . . . the deep theory and knowledge is missing
External Styling, . . . 2 . . . ooo... clear indicators ;)
(n00b)

Your car DIY skills?
Car audio systems, . 3 . . (chose, bought and installed my own HU, front/rear speakers at least)
External Styling, . . 3 . . . (foglamps and some touch-up paint so far)
Internal Styling, . . 3 . . ("new" seats, stereo, revcounter...)
Engines/Tuning, . 2 . . . (i can change the oil, filters and plugs... big woop.)

Would you be interested in a modification CD-ROM?
Yes – Only if it’s free .... as i can get pretty much all the info i need off the web anyway. Would have to contain some pretty unique and hard to come-by stuff.

What would you want on the CD-ROM?
a-f all of the above. Make it a DVD-ROM instead :D
g. Other(s)
info on the particular bits and bobs you would need to carry out the work, right down to the typical sizes of bolts and spanners for example jobs on certain cars  nothing more annoying to think you've got all the sizes of sockets, screwdrivers, drill bits etc only to have to stop the job halfway and leech a ride to halfords/homebase/etc...
and a common-problems checklist too :D
oh yeah..... and a section on car fashion disasters. comedy is always welcome.

Best of luck with the project mate........ if GCSE I.T. was anything to go by, A-level ICT is a right ball-ache slog.

lol @ cyhliu..... i can sort-of sympathise there. Back in my primary school i think i was the first guy of them to do a class questionaire using a computer word processor and spreadsheet.... while everyone else was tinkering with stories about fairies on Caxton Press and it's chunky, blocky 24-point text on the school machine, and then doing their survey amongst the class with 20 individually handwritten A4 pages (a bit like doing lines!), i fired up the atari and inserted the lucky-timing cover disc that had come with that month's magazine... a few minutes typing later, hit the "print" option with 50 copies (at a nice 10 "CPI"... probably 12-point :)), had me dinner while the old dot matrix churned away, and blitzed the (family, school, and) neighbourhood. In 6 different colours of print... respondee confidentiality NOT assured.
Then stuck the results in a spreadsheet... hey isnt this new program cool.. i can put stuff in straight boxes to print it up, and throw away the ruler :)

And now everyone and their nan's nan are doing it, over the interwebmail too.

Does anyone even use rulers to underline handwritten text any more?

El Bastardo... what are your other 4 cars then? I've only seen you talk about the Carlton 8) and the Mk4...
Incidentally do you have sick bags that pop out from the front seat-backs and glovebox when you come to a halt? (hehe)
