Its with the local VW garage again! I'm getting a little fed up now, I thought that VWs were supposed to be uber-reliable
This time it was the fault of the clutch cable, which had the audacity to go *snap* when I was swapping cogs a mere 10 minutes from home, after spending the bank holiday weekend away in Wales, up a mountain (Snowdon!), having driven over 200 miles throughout the weekend! According to the chap who VW Assistance sent out to me, theres an auto-adjustment gadget on the end of the clutch cable, and this is what went *snap* when I took my foot off the pedal. He fixed it manually with a trusty socket set, but now I need a new clutch cable
Luckily my car's being fixed under the warranty, which expired today - however seeing as the cable snapped on Sunday, they're going to honour the warranty. Lucky me eh?
Hopefully this will be the last time I have to have any major work done, especially now the warranty has run out. But heres the thing; is my GTi the most unreliable Polo ever? Or has anyone else had a bit of a 'mare with theirs? My car spends more time at VW than on my driveway!
