Hello I have a 1.2 tsi 6c and was looking at getting a new exhaust (only catback) was just wondering wether the exhausts what fit the 1.4 and the gti would also fit the 1.2 ?

I'm not sure where you are located, but have you thought about having a word with the boys and possibly girls at Pipe Werx in Ormskirk. They fabricated an exact copy of the entire exhaust system in stainless steel ( except the tail pipe that they made 20% bigger at my request, to better fill the bumper cut out ) on my wife's Alfa 159 ti for £375 fitted - less than Alfa wanted for a replacement mild steel backbox!

They will design the exhaust/backbox to your requirements and give you a lifetime guarantee, that way you will have a backbox that fits perfectly and will last longer than the car. The service and product is excellent - I believe Ian Birch ( who used to run Dubsport) has/had an interest/owns Pipe Werx - he certainly worked there.
