Preparing the next retrofit, since I'm getting a bit bored (lol, never).
OEM Homelink based on Audi TT < 2005
It's a bit like a universal remote. You can learn the remote to the homelink module and then it can open the garage for you.
--> https://drive.google.com/open?id=1_X7B6 ... TrkKr_GjzE
Parts:
4B0971978B 6 pin connector homelink module + MQS
8E0971934 4 pin connector homelink antenna + MQS
8P0907179 / 4F0807777 / 8E0907179 bracket for antenna
8E0909511 front antenna
8N0959719 homelink module
wiring is very simple.
I'm planning on re-using the wiring that's for my halogen headlight range control.
headlight left or right:
T10/1 = +15 SB11
T10/2 = wire directly to headlight regulator T6aa/2
T10/5 = GND
Headlight range regulator:
T6/1 = GND
T6/2 = to headlight
T6/4 = +15 SB11
T6/5 = 58d
Then I only need a wire to the warming blinker switch (or not, I'll have to investigate if it's a pulse or a constant current).
In theory.

Nice. Right now I’m using direct connection to the actual garage remote with the remote battery inside where I tap the “Open/Close” remote switch to the auto Start/Stop oem button. The existing 9V remote battery still able to light up the “Orange” Start/Stop Button while pressing.iichel wrote:Preparing the next retrofit, since I'm getting a bit bored (lol, never).

But I do love to have this homelink style from Audi. Where do you plan to install ? All three buttons? What’s sort of modification cost are you looking at now?
Btw do u think our rear hatch windows can fit the rear blind from Passat? [emoji23] That’s another dream mod as well

I'm not sure yet exactly where to fit it.
The antenna will go at the front, obviously.
The rest, I'm not sure yet. I'm thinking either in the sunblind for the driver or in the steering column on the left side or in the lower B pillar

Nothing better for garage door than having to hands up n switch something at the top. Why not here.
In fact. I’ve been thinking of using the sunroof knob from panoramic gti for that homelink function. I know the knob at least got 3 switches.

I think my preferred place will be the sun visor but I'm not sure I can get it in.

So, the summer wheels are back under the car, the winter wheels are for sale...
Also I'll have some good news about the CC by MFS but I'll need to make some videos for that. So soon the stalks will be for sale too.
And I've made some progress on the Homelink but ordered the antenna twice, so that will be for sale too soon.
I'm starting a trading market for Polo parts soon, lol
Anyways, my pride of the day:

i'll probably fit it tomorrow and then it should be easy straight forward from there.

don't worry iichel, do what you have planned with that antenna.
All my future mods (my big overhaul) are going to suffer a significant delay (a pair of months) due to some domestic mods ... lol!

What else needed other than buttons n antenna? How does it works actually? Open frequency? I need to check out our standard frequency for such application. Basically, it can learn the frequency and signal of the remote you have and then broadcast it to the garage door.
it's like a universal remote
Built in the antenna, I ordered the OEM holder but doesn't really fit anywhere... so then we do it like this LOL.
I'll do some tests soon to see if the angle is correct

Oh ok. Nice. But wow. What a big antenna. I was expecting something very small as the actual remote normally very smalliichel wrote:on the previous page you can see the parts you need and the wiring. basically, it can learn the frequency and signal of the remote you have and then broadcast it to the garage door.
