Yes that is pretty much it, no need to change the complete fan box, it saves refilling and recharging the coolant and AC systemsBizmo wrote: Following this with interest, from what I see you are modifying the existing fan box by adding a new motor and new fan controller and then adding a new loom.
Is there more to this?

Guessing there are more thermometers and a sunlight sensor to go somewhere?
Did you buy the extra bits and fit them to the existing fan box?

Hi Geoff, which wires in particular are you referring to?
Adam’s T5.1 GP
New Heated T6 windscreen now installed, RLHS working, just the HBA and the heated part to get wire up

Re: Adam’s T5.1 GP
Awesome job. The wiring for the heated windshield shouldn't be too hard
Re: Adam’s T5.1 GP

TPMS - not just yet I am just awaiting delivery of some corrugated tubing for running the wires externally to the module.ciclo wrote:Great! Excellent job!

Great, hopefully it helps with coding/adapting for others but just need to perfect it firstciclo wrote: Thanks for the email ... I'll answer you as soon as possible (I have to find time to view and test your clb label).

Re: Adam’s T5.1 GP
So I bought the latest revision of the Discover media (5C0 035 680 G) and had the patch installed to prevent CP. luckily all features were fully activated so no cost to remove active CP or activate app connect, voice, carnet, off-road, nav etc
Unit works really well and the newer address entry in the nav is a lot better and easier.
Next on the list to have the ‘Car’ menu activated like on the skoda and Chinese VW Passat
