Electrical problem??
I was driving and I pressed my window button. Nothing happens and then all of the warning lights came on my dash. The engine stopped and my car now won’t start. I’m wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what a possible fix would be (hopefully an inexpensive one). I drive. A 2010 1.2 S for reference.

Check the fuses in the engine compartment. Especially the SA3 Fuse.
Have you installed any additional device in your Polo?

Re: Electrical problem??
Logically.
Either it has a significant short circuit or a gigantic power consumption (according to the information you provide).
The window button was the one that helped get the symptoms.

What happened finally? Did you have to change the battery?

Re: Electrical problem??
Yeah I got a new battery, I took the car to a local specialist.
It was an immobiliser issue as I was using a spare key that had been cut and programmed ( I assume incorrectly). This had drained the battery so it was replaced and I’m now using the original key.
