On my previous car, the air intake was such that it not only sucked air in as required (the faster you went), but at speed it was positioned such that it was literally forced up the intake pipe. Some air intakes are designed specifically with a cone end to ram the air in as my previous car had.
So, with it in the front rather than behind the engine, I would presume you are optimising the air induction into the air intake better than round the back right?
Is the intake hole behind the front grill such that enough air is forced in? If so, then I can see it would make the engine more 'dynamic'.
