The VW uk chat line just told me that they cannot say where my car is untill it gets to Emden in Germany. The Green Ridge left Port Elizabeth on the 15 th so it could be on that ...or not.
They told me which ship mine was on without me even asking albeit a few days in to the voyage. :?

If you have access to VWerwin you can download all the technical and training manuals for the AW polo, I downloaded them around 4 months ago

I am in little old New Zealand and just purchased a Polo GTI+ (equivalent, all add ons except Adaptive cruise and heated seating)

Have been quoted October Delivery - lets see how they hold up! LOL

Look forward to owning my first VW actually,

Stupid it’s not got ACC on it when it’s standard in the U.K. but goes to show how different markets vary in equipment levels.

Not all markets get a Polo GTI+ model; just the GTI. Looking at VW NZ website, they don’t list a Polo GTI+, so maybe it’s a GTI that Poachersun is getting, specced to GTI+ levels, with the exception of ACC and heated seats (winter pack). The ‘non-plus’ GTI in the UK doesn’t get ACC as standard.

I have been tracking Galaxy Ace on Marinetraffic.com and it has been out of range for almost 5 days. Does any kind soul on here have the paid for version and would be kind enough to check where it is, for me... please :)

Yes it's like somewhere in between. It has all the safety features (blind sport, hill start driver attention etc) along with Heated electric side mirrors, dual zone climate, electro-chromatic rear view mirror, start stop button, LED headlight package, 8" navi screen. The Beats upgrade with sub is not possible for our market unfortunately.
It does have standard cruise control, i don't do allot of motorway driving and when i do i am more interested in driving than just cruising so would barely use cruise anyways :).

I upped extra $$ for the 18" Brescia mags and the 10.25" Digital infotainment dash (and had to pay extra for 3 year servicing). Getting in the Nice blue so shouldn't be too many in this colour for NZ (i will also get roof and mirrors wrapped in gloss black).

Should be a fun little car! :)

Yea nice spec. I can vouch for the Digi dash well worth the extra, I love it. Im a sucker for the keyless entry / start button..im a kid and love pushing the button to get the car to start. DSG im still working with ...its growing on me but I am used to manual and riding the clutch at busy junctions so its getting used to a slightly different way of driving.

Finally got a call from VW to say our car is on one of two ships.
Either the Galaxy Ace which arrives on 2 nd July OR Green Ridge which gets in on the 7 th ( Presumably to Emden)
Not a total answer but good news .
Our car left the factory on the 8 th June , information for others in the same boat, if you get my meaning!
