Re: Baz's build thread
Looking really good Baz, little touches like calipers make all the difference. Keep up the good work
Re: Baz's build thread
Yeah that can be a problem haha, just gotta do what you can when you have the time I guess

Re: Baz's build thread
Hi everyone, got a little update on the car, haven't posted I a little while but I have done some bits.
I got rid of my old boot build and made a new one which looks cleaner and gives more boot space, I've made a box in the wheel well and put the amp and wiring in there so it's all hidden. When I started I found a bit of rust forming in the wheel well, it was still solid so I ground it back, rust treated it and painted it all up.
Here's some pics of it now it's all in....
After that was done I thought it was about time to put it in for it's mot so I booked it in, I gave the car a wash, clay, dual action polish and fusso sealant. It came up looking pretty nice, the day came for the mot and I was pretty nervous, thankfully it passed with no advisories so I was quite chuffed. The car has now been on the road for about a month and all is well apart from I need new cv boots I think as the drivers side wheel got covered in grease haha, so I'll do that soon.
I got this lovely little 300mm momo team steering wheel for a fairly good price, it's near enough brand new.
The car is much more responsive and feels nicer to drive now in my opinion.

Looking smart now Baz. What is the fusso sealant? A wax or ceramic style coating?

Re: Baz's build thread
Thanks mate, it's a wax style sealant, it says it's works for 12 months. Someone at work uses it and he's had it on his car for a bit 6 months now and said it will need redoing again soon, good stuff tho

Re: Baz's build thread
I'd like to see the roof when it's done, I've been thinking of redoing mine in gloss carbon but might wait until after winter now
Re: Baz's build thread
Yeah know what you mean with the weather. Been to crap lately to do the other wheels. Going to take her into work for roof. Bang the heating up in thevalet bay. Hopefully get some primer on two wheels tomorrow evening and push on
