Well, phoned up the dealer today. They're gonna lube it up before they attempt to replace it. tbh I can't see the point of that as the rattle seems inside the base rather than at the adjustment part. Oh well
I still love the car, but the constant attempts/phone calls to even get it booked in are beginning to wear me down. Its getting to the point that i'm thinking of selling it and buying a Corrado early. I'll loose about 15mpg, it'll cost more to insure but at least the ownership experience will be 10X better. At least I can order/fit parts at my own leisure and repair what I know is wrong with it rather than being told whats 'probably' wrong with it (even when I usually know whats wrong with it anyway!

jrw: Springs are just like standard really. Only difference I notice is they can make the suspension a bit 'unsettled' over certain bumps but I can live with that

only cost me £80 from eBay Germany as well
