Bit of colour coding

Post by DanW »

I was sitting next to the car today on a curb and looking down the side of the car thinking of putting bumpers on the arches. But then again, that would loose some of the colour that I'm so fond of.

What about colout coding the bumper? Dub envy's look... well spectacular, much better than I was ecpecting.

Could someone possiably photochop the bumper so it's got colour coded front and rear bumpers and/or arches? I've tried with the arches b4 and gave up.

Oh and I might take some pics again when I wash the car... 95% of the rust gone :D

cheers

So long as it doesn't end up looking a carboncopy ;)

Is it me or is this car verging on the over done? Or is it just that the alloys don't suit it (IMO)?

Yes thanks :D , that's kind of the look I'm going for quite like the green. I would need a new drivers door to finish of the look totaly due to the rust eating the bottom of the door totaly  .

It looks superb (IMHO) but I'm not keen on the alloys - X spokes would look nicer but it's just personal taste - in fact that colour would look superb with satin black/graphite alloys - expecting some yuk comments for that

Yeah - I'm getting along nicely with refurbing the BBS GTi alloys i picked up last weekend and everytime I look at them I keep thinking mmmmm ditch the silver centres and satin black them.

See I'm not keen on de-bump stripping the car - idiots round here use your doors to find out when they've got the door as open as possible in car parks

I don't fancy colour coding all the black bits on the car - washer jets and grill etc - why not keep the black bit and accentuate them

I'm useless with photoshop so just do it and then put it back to std if it all goes pete tong and I hate it

I could always stripe it up like a zebra or do a big thick viper stripe over the whole car

I saw that G you got pics of at Polo Show. I don't like those 5 spokes tbh. but other than that, a nice looking car. I would have to second what bstard says, and don't go OTT with colour, especially if you part code the bumpers, as you want some black to tie them in with. I might get my mirrors done, and the rear grab handle, but other than that, I'm rather happy with what it looks like.

Dan where you been hiding lately? If you want to get your bumpers half colour-coded you can still get the bumpers new, but theyre over £100 each! :o

£100 a bumper using standard bumpers and two-pack paint. Gives a good finish though, and was the cheapest quote I got.
