My car has started doing this and it’s getting rather annoying
I normally connect Apple car play and have a VW lead
I have it connected to the first USB port as occasionally on the second it would just suddenly stop.
Normally car is playing music through what’s on my phone and it will just suddenly stop then kick back in
Last night though it did it twice and didn’t come back in I had to manually do it
Wondering if this is a common fault anyone has experienced
Sure it did it again today also

Re: Apple car play
I'm sure I've seen this discussed already and it was raised with their dealer who just shrugged it off.
To be fair I have driven 3 different fiestas from Enterprise and each one has not only cut out but would not reconnect nor charge my phone unless the ignition was turned off for some time.
Even with a basic knowledge of how pin connectors work, sticking USBs in something that constantly vibrates is never a great idea. Made worse by using cheap parts.

Re: Apple car play
No such problems with carplay on mine.
The quality of the playback isn't as good as bluetooth, in fact it's really bad in comparison, but that's a different story.
No cutting out or stopping.
