Not seen any ads here either.

Though if you're using Tapatalk then you will see in-line ads from Tapatalk - the forum itself has no control over their placement though afaik - check the reviews for Taptalk and you'll see they seem to multiplying and becoming more intrusive.

I don’t use Tapatalk and I’m seeing loads of ads. Seems to have started around a week ago.

I don't use tapatalk either, but the other day, it briefly flashed up what users were on the forum and one of the users was listed as "adbot"

In fact, they're there now - Baidu (spider), Google adsense (bot). The likely culprits.

Thought it was strange some people were seeing these while others weren't but just remembered I have adblock installed in my browser... might be why

Does that mean that they are registered users of the forum?
Could admin remove them I wonder?

Wants Mature Woman - suits me, though my wife might not agree!

Yes I too using good old MS propelled netbook am seeing most of these ad, as you might expect normally associated with my recent Google searches, which might explain why I've not spotted any of these "nice ladies" sites, maybe someone has been caught out?

Anyway, my wife gets really annoyed with all the pop ups (ads) she gets on her iPad for car and house hardware that I have been looking up on the internet, so maybe a very good reason why I need to remember not to accidentally go to these "nice ladies" sites - though I'd deny that it was anything that I had done though!

Thanks to the tips on this post I’ve now blocked the ads.
I’ve been seeing the ads whilst using Safari on an iPhone to browse the forums.

To block the adds I downloaded the StopAd app from the App Store and enabled it in Safari.

No more Mature Women! 😂

We have introduced a *small* amount of ads as a means to generate funding to cover the costs of hosting the forum

They shouldnt be intrusive though, and arguably, what people see should be related to their interests.

We are working on tweaking the settings - so please bear with, but as above, you can just pop an ad blocker on if it bothers you 8)

I've not noticed any mega intrusive ads at all.
One of the most ad-free forums I've been on, in fact.

Ahh, ok. fair enough. Got to cover costs. :)

Ads were (and are on a different browser) appearing between every 2-3 posts, and generally not related to my interests, so personally found it intrusive.

Indeed - electricity is expensive these days :P

I've made a few changes, so hopefully they'll be a bit more relevant now :)

Needs must. I've toned down the title of the thread as initially I didn't realise the appearance of ads was intentional.

Do they work based on browser history? I use Safari in 'Private' Browsing mode so maybe why the ads weren't relevant to me.

I seem to have developed a reputation of someone who looks a Websites showing mature ladies.
