The knob on the right of the infotainment screen

Post by roywolfey »

So far I haven’t used it, or found a single use for it.
I’m guessing it can be used for zoom if you have the VW sat nav? which I don’t have, but it doesn’t seem to have any affect when running apple maps, google maps or Waze on CarPlay.
Am I missing out, or is this knob redundant? 🤔😂

Have you not even turned it around?, I'm still working out what does what? For instance, the left hand knob, I wanted to turn off the radio so I pressed the left hand button, but that turns off the whole unit, all you do is turn the volume right down and if you have media going it stops the tracks playing as well as turning the sound down, so when you turn up the volume again it resumes playing the same track :D
It's like the sat nav, with the wife's car you stayed in the middle of the screen pointing upward all the time, at one point when I was out in the Polo, I had disappeared off the screen, then another time I was driving sideways, until I looked in the hand book, and that put me right, I'm OK with that now :D

It's just the simple things that throw you when driving a new motor, the subtle differences from one manufacturer to another
