Hope you’re enjoying your car after the long wait.silverhairs wrote: Thu Dec 27, 2018 3:43 pm Update about the dash pads. The dealership have agreed to supply and fit the dash pads free of charge when they come in for the inconvenience they has caused, and will let me have a car while they do the job. I knocked off the price of the dash pads when I purchased it.
As for the wipers, they don't judder, they work fine and you can hardly hear, if at all the wiper motor turning. Getting used to the DSG box, the Mrs nearly gives you whip lash in the neck every time she brakes
, but she'll get use to them.
I wil write a report out once I've got about 1,000 miles on the clock
As it looks likely that your car being built with the wrong dash pads was an error on the dealer’s part when they placed the order for your car, I’d expect them to cover the cost. Just check the interior trim carefully when you pick your car up after they’ve done the work, to make sure they’ve don’t damage the dashboard, centre console/gear selector surround or door cards when they remove the the old dash pads and fit the new ones.
Look forward to reading your review in due course.
