Sony MD h/u - wrong colour illumination

Post by hardhitter »

I have a Sony MDX-C6500R h/u in mine, only problem is the illumination is amber and I want green. There nothing wrong with it apart from it looks a little out of place in mine.

I bought it over a year ago and cant really take it back.

Just wandering if anyone knows of a md h/u with green illumination for sale or poss swap for mine (with cash) ?

Cheers

Alpine do a huge range of green lit head units. it took me ages to decide which one to go for! :P

I decided on the 9873r (i think thats right), buts its only CD - but they do a MD one as well.

The colour matches my dash lights and car colour almost perfectly 8)

I looked at an Alpine h/u, but the only MD model you can buy now is a motorised screen / MD player. This is about £800 and well out of my price range.

Alpine used to have a single slot MD tuner h/u, model MDM-7741R. They discontinued this a while back and didnt replace it. :(
This would have been ideal.

Why not look for a CD with MD changer?

As MD is slowly been phased out by MP3 if you flick through Max Power/Redline etc... you can pick up some brilliant deals.

Example - Sony CD head unit with 6 disc MD changer £349.99!
(admittidly is was a bottom end cd unit but at least it gives you some idea!)
