Hello, the VW Dataplug will not connect with my phone, does anyone else have this problem? I enter the data plug pin, it finds and authenticates it then says 'Ooops, something went wrong'. It is an iPhone does anyone have any ideas how to fix it? I tried to contact the help number and was essentially told its a problem with iphones disconnecting their bluetooth too early?
Anyone have similar problems and if so how did you get yours working?

My father has got the MK 7 Golf and he don’t have problems with his IPHONE X connecting to the data plug.
Have you tried updating the your iPhone too the latest firmware.

Re: VW Dataplug problems
I deleted the app on my phone, I rated it as absolutely useless.
It seemed to only work while I was in the car, wouldn't update when I was sitting in the house.
That may be the way it's supposed to work, but I don't see that as any help at all.
My Nissan Leaf app updated wherever you were, so did my BMW one.
You've reminded me to pull the data plug out of the OBD port as well, shove it in the glove box.
