I'd assume they're the same as the standard polo.

Look inside your wheel arch and you'll see a circular cutout which can be removed by rotating it. That will reveal the front fog lamp unit.

Put wheel on full lock, inside wheel arch is small panel which you rotate and remove. Then first disconnect the wiring connector (this must be done first) then rotate the bulb, can’t remember which direction but it’s in the manual and pull bulb out.

I’ve tried two different makes of canbus friendly LED bulbs but both gave error message on dashboard. In the end I fitted Osram Night Breaker which give a good match to the LED headlight units.

But the OP has a current model (AW) Polo GTI+, not the previous generation model Polo 6R/6C.

My bad, was actually referring to Adam's post, but I've misread what he wrote.

Is it the foglights that come on when you corner?
I've noticed those lights are considerably yellower than my headlights now.
What size bulb are they?

They are "N 10529501" google shows them as H8 35W bulbs and if you have led headlight then fog lights look terribly yellow

I don't want to change the foglight bulbs and then find out the cornering lights are different!

This sounds very easy so something I will be changing on mine when I get it, the ones on my current Leon annoy me no end but are just too much of a pain to change. Why VAG think yellow fog lights are acceptable on a 21K + plus car which has LED headlights I don't know, at least the facelift Leon (which mine isn't by about 3 months!) got LED front fog lights on the FR.

So....any recommendations for the whitest H8 bulbs possible?
I'm not interested in no-name LED off ebay, looking for whitest halogen H8 possible.

I used the Osram Night Breaker H8 on mine and they give a good match. I’ve tried two different types of canbus friendly LED bulbs and got errors both times so don’t bother with the LED ones.

It took me about two minutes per side, I also found that cleaning the plastic acess hatch helped it go back on afterwards.
