I note autobulbs are selling LED H8 bulbs.
I may give them a go as I'd hope autobulbs have done some homework and aren't selling crap.
No way I'd chance ebay LEDs.

I tried twenty20 from autobulbs and got the error message. Just out of interest I fitted only one bulb to check and got an error message. Does the system check individual bulbs or does it detect a difference between the two bulbs?

Ah, damn, I'll just go Halogen then.
Don't know the answer to your CANBUS question, sorry.

Why VAG think yellow fog lights are acceptable on a 21K + plus car which has LED headlights I don't know, at least the facelift Leon (which mine isn't by about 3 months!) got LED front fog lights on the FR.
Two words:

Cost cutting.

Those long life bulbs are dead cheap.

Besides yellow light as in 'Selective Yellow' 3000-3500kelvin light actually has much much better penetration through "water" which fog really is. The whiter/blue light just reflects while yellow because of wavelength pass better through.

I for one will be replacing them with true selective yellow bulbs

Anybody figure out how to enable the daytime led lights by the fog lights if you have the led headlights ?

It is disabled if you have the led headlights.

They aren't even there !
It's a blank plate but no lights behind.

You could probably buy the drl parts and wire them back in if you wish?

well dlr are not on car with led light (they are fake) but take a look at headlights and you will notice that parabol (or whatever it is called in english) toward middle of car is fake :D they don't work or do anything :D that is true cost cutting :D btw whole led light assembly is 4 time price of normal halogen light :D

I thought those were for the high beams ?
So are dipped beams and high beams both inside the same light unit ?

I assume the high beam is like on my current Leon's LED headlights and just moves the reflector when you pull or push the stalk.
