So again hoping mine taken off and put onto another vessel for UK?? So which one ?peeceeuk wrote: Wed Apr 10, 2019 1:46 pm Vehicle production checks are carried out there before the last leg of the journey to the dealerships.
Might help, but my car was on the Glovis Spring and I got the 5b notification Saturday which I believe signifies its been discharged - Note the TXT notification says 5b the app and email notifation only say vehicle status updated and show stage 5.
From other posts my understanding is when its loaded to a UK vessel you get a 5c notification and then stage 6 when its arrived in the UK.
Have you checked or spoken to your dealer to check if it was deff on the Glovis Spring?

Same as you Chris.
My tracker updated on the 6th to 'Your vehicle is on the next stage of its journey to the UK'. No idea if it's been put on a ship though.
Mine was on the Glovis Spring.

If things go as per that car (for delivery), our white one should be 4 or 5 weeks away. Golf R is going on Weds, so we'll be down to 1 car for a month or so.

Oh dear. They're reasonable in the Winter (they seem harder and you exercise more caution), but they have abysmal turn-in grip. I lost the back end of the car giving it 2/3 acceleration off a big roundabout that was almost a straight line, as a Golf GTD sailed past going much quicker. Have done the same manoeuvre on Michelins at night 2/3 and full acceleration without a murmur from the back wheels.c4s2rs6 wrote: Wed Apr 10, 2019 7:59 pmYes indeedmonkeyhanger wrote:Damn! LOL. Yes indeed I asked my dealer. As usual as much use as a chocolate teapot. He replied with "tracker says its still in transit....I am off til Wed and will try get an update and mail you back" No he never mailed me back. To be honest during the whole 13months wait, my dealership have been worse than useless. I have to constantly email them to remind them NOT TO FORGET to register the car when it arrives with my private plates, because I fear they will? They have been on retention since Dec 18 because was told to take them off existing car, as my new one will be ready for collection early Jan...pmsl. Just dont trust them to get anything right??

Re: New GTI + delivery
So now that my Polo GTi is on it's way and Brexit has been pushed safely back again (so no worry about any surprise extras 10% to pay) I've started looking at some bit's to buy for it in preparation, I've ordered some Philips White H8's for the fog lights, a couple of faraday pouches for the keys (though I will be disabling keyless entry with OBDEleven once I've had the car a month or so and it's got no faults), but one thing I really need is some decent rubber mats that I can stick in it to stop me ruining the nice carpet ones that come in the GTi. I say I will get rubber mats for my cars to use during the wet months (so most of the time in here in Manc!) but always forget to. I've been looking online at various companies but no one seems to specify tailored rubber mats for the Polo MK6 (AW) that are for DSG\auto ones, has anyone ordered some decent rubber mats for theirs which are for a 2 pedal car?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: New GTI + delivery
There aren't any DSG specific rubber mats in the official range - the mat goes under/behind the pedals, so it doesn't matter if you have 2 pedals or 3.Griff74 wrote: Thu Apr 11, 2019 2:33 pm So now that my Polo GTi is on it's way and Brexit has been pushed safely back again (so no worry about any surprise extras 10% to pay) I've started looking at some bit's to buy for it in preparation, I've ordered some Philips White H8's for the fog lights, a couple of faraday pouches for the keys (though I will be disabling keyless entry with OBDEleven once I've had the car a month or so and it's got no faults), but one thing I really need is some decent rubber mats that I can stick in it to stop me ruining the nice carpet ones that come in the GTi. The official VW supplied Polo ones (that aren't GTI specific are about £37 a set. First thing I bought for the car.
If you buy white bulbs for fog lights, you will render the fog lights useless as yellow light penetrates fog much better than white light. That being said - I have only used fog lights 3 or 4 times in the last 5 years, so if you prefer style over substance, the likelihood of needing yellow fogs at any given time is low.
Unless ordered at end of Jan 19, no one was in danger of a 10% import tariff being imposed on their car. Can't see a tariff likely to happen - French / German / Spanish / Czech / Italian car manufacturers want to keep selling us cars competitively.

You can get genuine VW rubber mats for the current model (AW) Polo; part numbers;Griff74 wrote: Thu Apr 11, 2019 2:33 pm So now that my Polo GTi is on it's way and Brexit has been pushed safely back again (so no worry about any surprise extras 10% to pay) I've started looking at some bit's to buy for it in preparation, I've ordered some Philips White H8's for the fog lights, a couple of faraday pouches for the keys (though I will be disabling keyless entry with OBDEleven once I've had the car a month or so and it's got no faults), but one thing I really need is some decent rubber mats that I can stick in it to stop me ruining the nice carpet ones that come in the GTi. Front; 2G206150282V (£38.00)
Rear; 2G006151282V (£28.50)
They’re available here - you may find them cheaper elsewhere if you do a bit of internet searching;
Fronts; https://www.volkswagenpartsuk.co.uk/par ... loor-mats/
Rears; https://www.volkswagenpartsuk.co.uk/par ... loor-mats/
I have a pair of the genuine VW ones in the front of my previous generation Polo GTI (didn't bother with rears as I rarely carry rear seat passengers). As they’re the genuine VW article, they’ll be a good fit and the fronts have the same push stud fastening as the carpet mats, so will stay firmly in place and not slip under the pedals.
I personally prefer rubber mats to carpet mats; much more durable and hard wearing and they’re easy to keep clean - a quick wipe over when I clean the interior of the car and they come up looking like new. Some say that rubber mats look quite utilitarian, but I don’t mind the utilitarian look.
Mine have been in the car for three years now and don’t show any signs of wear. I don’t find VW carpet mats to be particularly good quality and the drivers mat is prone to wear where you rest your right heel.

Thanks guys, I shall order some mats then, the VW ones seem awfully expensive though so will go with 3rd party ones.

Re: New GTI + delivery
I think I've used the front fog lights on my current car once in the last 3 years and then for about 2 mins only, same with my previous car and the ones before, our i3 doesn't even have front fog lights and I've not missed them but the static cornering feature is used multiple times a day and the yellow lights on my Leon have always bugged me but they are too hard to change the bulbs on it, unlike the Polo.monkeyhanger wrote: Thu Apr 11, 2019 2:45 pm

I only ordered my car last month, but is is one that had already been ordered, no idea if it would have been affected or not by extra taxes.

If you look on eBay and search for genuine vw polo AW1 mats there are some discount suppliers listed

Yeah I searched, could only find someone selling the rear ones and for a whole £2 less than from VW themselves! lolNora wrote: Fri Apr 12, 2019 10:12 am If you look on eBay and search for genuine vw polo AW1 mats there are some discount suppliers listed
I might just go for some decent 3rd party ones.
