Hii ciclo and iichel,
What you think is correct..i think to enable cc from mfsw is activate from ecu and bcm.
But i'm wrong [emoji24].
Btw when i check to my adaptation i cant find gra_high...so do i need to upgrade my can gateway or it can be enable from odis ?
Thanks

yes iichel, but then someone must explain why there are no faults in the Autoscan with that hardware configuration.iichel wrote: Wed Mar 13, 2019 6:57 pm Yes, I guess he acitvated the CCS functions in the ECU and BCM to make the buttons for the MFSW work. Since that won't work (for the time being, I like the way you think), the stalks must be changed.
something weird is happening here...

hi ciclo,
is this topic become warm again...
what do you think about my autoscan ?
is there any do you want me to check ?

To activate the GRA_High read here:

viewtopic.php?f=56&t=58703&start=4650#p547027
However, it would not be possible because your instrument cluster doesn't have MFA +.
As regards the autoscan, can you please tell me if when the CCS was activated in the ECU and BCM without installing the new stalks, arise faults related to Cruise Control Switch (E45)?

Hi ciclo, last month i installed mfsw with cruise control and cruise control wiring based on gannu https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/diy-do-y ... ntrol.html.
All wiring installed except for fuse because i dont have stalk.
Then i code my bcm from vcds to activated ccs and cruise control still wont work.
After read yours and iichel project i think cruise control using stalk and from mfsw have different method...and then i ask guy from vw workshop to actived my ccs from ecu using odis...and after that it still wont work..

Yes the Method differs between stalk and mfsw.poethardo wrote: Thu Mar 14, 2019 8:57 am Then i code my bcm from vcds to activated ccs and cruise control still wont work.

I am reversing this since some months and so far i can say.
Up to EU5 Engines there was the "GRA" Bus (1 Wire) inside the car, which connects ECU and BCM or SMLS (stalk diskret into BCM like in T5/Polo or stalk diskret into SMLS like in Passat B6/B7)
This "GRA" Signal is for telling the ECU the SET/Cancel +/- Values.
With the EU6 Engines VW optimised this Signal away. It is now transfered via can.
And with the MFSW that Support CCS or ACC, the diskret signals to BCM or SMLS are gone, too, instead now it is a lin bus. And the informations from lin are then sended via can to the ECU.
And that is the Problem, the EU5 Engine does not understand the CCS/ACC information coming over can, it needs this data over the old "GRA" Bus.
In theories someone can build a smal Microcontroller Board which bridges the linbus Data from MFSW to the old "GRA" Bus, than, and only than a MFSW will work with an EU5 Engine.
Greats
Dennis

Re: Retrofitting of Cruise Control by MFS on Polo 6R, T5, T6
if you have a look at the wiring schemes, you'll see that the GRA wire in PQ25 is nothing but a 12V signal that's live when the CC switch is in either ON or cancel.
there is no information going over this wire what so ever. all the GRA signals for cancel, set and resume are via CAN anyway, transferred from the BCM to gateway to engine.

OK, thanks, i will check, i thought it is more, but i never measured this.iichel wrote: Wed Apr 17, 2019 6:15 am if you have a look at the wiring schemes, you'll see that the GRA wire in PQ25 is nothing but a 12V signal that's live when the CC switch is in either ON or cancel.

Yes they are 12v on/off signals from the stalks to the BCM, but then from the BCM it goes 1 wire to ECU (LIN?) so Dennis’s theory is correctiichel wrote:if you have a look at the wiring schemes, you'll see that the GRA wire in PQ25 is nothing but a 12V signal that's live when the CC switch is in either ON or cancel.

The wire to the ECU is the same signal as the wire from the stalks. It's either continuously on or off, nothing in between.

So what tells the ECU to speed up or slow down with +/- buttons etc, is it the BCM recognising the button presses? Or are they with resistors in the stalk?

Re: Retrofitting of Cruise Control by MFS on Polo 6R, T5, T6
It's probably a CAN message from the BCM to the gateway (comfort CAN) to the ECU (powertrain CAN)
Re: Retrofitting of Cruise Control by MFS on Polo 6R, T5, T6
So really easiest way (by keeping original parts) is to change the mfsw buttons signal to replicate the stalk, obviously no good for ACC just CCS

is that possible ?Adam87 wrote: Thu May 02, 2019 11:40 pm So really easiest way (by keeping original parts) is to change the mfsw buttons signal to replicate the stalk, obviously no good for ACC just CCS
would you mind to describe it ?
Re: Retrofitting of Cruise Control by MFS on Polo 6R, T5, T6
Yes in theory.
MFSW signal from buttons - microcontroller? - output to BCM to replicate stalk
