How much for a fizzy?

Post by Tahrey1043 »

A 90 to 125cc bike and some CBT, I mean. Any part time 2 wheelers here whose brains can be picked? :)
(or better - full lessons, if they can be fit in, and test, so no L plates and can use motorway)

Getting to college is proving a joke on both the train and in the car, it just takes too long unneccesarily - reckon I could take more than an hour off the train and 45 minutes off the car journey with a bike, even if it hits a wall around 65mph, just because of the (15mph) traffic-weaving capability - and parking/fuel would be far cheaper. Be handy for getting to the main bulk of work across birmingham centre as well - no roads with more than a 50 limit (mostly 30-40) but plenty of gridlock potential.

Clues? It's gotta be cheap after all.. by which i mean less than the price of return rail tickets for the first academic year, at £19 once a week (call it £80 a month).

eh.... here's what i need it for mate:

a 45-50 mile each way rush hour commute once a week

its gotta be quick enough to get along those A-roads (or, cheekily up the M'way) without causing me danger or making the train or car a quicker option, but a normal "thin" motorcycle so that it can get between two lanes of traffic without removing too many bumpers or doorhandles.

50cc i thought of, but dismissed as being just too slow - if it's gonna take me 2 hours, it may as well be 2 hours of warmth, comfort and music. And the quad is just too wide, hard to park safely, and... well... i'd look even more of a nob

yep your deffo one of those

50cc scooter
restricted 30mph
unrestricted 60mph
no cbt required
no L plates
but u carnt use motorways

and its thin to buzz though traffic

take a cbt £60 u can ride up to a 125cc for 3yrs only but still aint alloud on the motorway

or the option of going for your full licence on bike then u can ride big bike on the motorway which is about £400 for cbt , main test and theroy

3 years is perfectly fine!
theres a lot of hills between here and nottingham, and i'd only really get the thing de-restricted by passing a test anyway

its not that the quad wouldnt be fun, like a more stable Fireblade.. but riding one on the road rather than motocrossing it... very strange idea!
