I've been quoted over £750 to replace a water pump on a 2015 Gti, by a VW dealer (cough< West London VW >cough)
Is this a difficult job? Does anyone have any alternative recommendations?

Re: Water Pump 6c GTI
Does that include any sort of contribution from vw?
I'd definitely be looking for something as it seems quite a common fault.

You might need to talk to VW UK customer support team about that as your dealer might not want them involved with crediting them for a part of the labour costs at a very poor agreed labour rate, maybe I’m wrong, but you should only be looking after limiting your spend.
