Was wondering if there's any DIY mod where i can press the boot buttom on my car keys and it automatically opens. I've seen some kind of springs that you attach to the boot and they open unfortunately those only fit certain bmw.

Someone recently managed it on the Golf GTI forum, with some hardware changes and software updates.

Hi, you can set the boot to open using obdeleven.
However, it will only click open and you will need springs like you said.
I do believe they are available somewhere, and these plus the obdeleven mod will allow you to fully open the boot with the fob

Hold the boot release on the key and it opens the boot does it not? The only issue being the struts aren't strong enough for it to open, there were after market ones for the 6c polo
