Boot Light

Post by tom-polo53 »

I have bought a blue bulb (same colour as dash lights), to replace the light found to the right when you open the boot. When i close the boot the light should go off... but it just dulls down! (I cant leave it like this, because it will slowly wear the battery down)

Anyone know how I can sort this?

Many Thanks

That's weird... There are two cables going to the lamp: a current suplly of 12v and the cable that comes from the sensor wich tells if the trunk is open (12v) or not (0v) (I think when the trunk is closed the second cable has 0v but I've seen somewhere that has 10v - maybe an error of the site).

In other topic here I ask someone where can I get the 12v current supply from the trunk and nobody was able to help me. I ask again to those who have a boot light to see what cables go to the lamp and tell me please.

I've heard it too saying that it will switch to 10V when the boot is closed, not sure though.
