Most of my interior LEDs are from AliExpress. The quality is acceptable, they usually last a few months to half a year. So far I haven't been able to find LEDs that don't "glow" when they should be off. It has to do with some current leakage I think. But it doesn't bother me.

For the interior lights (roof, footwell, etc) at least one of the LED bulbs must be with what is called 'CAN bus error free' or something like that :), with small resistor or diode, to avoid that glow when they are off.
I already mentioned this perfect 'solution' in my 6R thread a long time ago. It has also been useful for my Golf MK7.5 8)

The 'CAN Bus error free' LED lights are more expensive.

If you buy them on Aliexpress you should know what you are buying, some LED bulbs/lights/lamps in Ali claim to be 'CAN bus error free' but they are not, so currently I can not recommend any of those that are for sale. (read feedbacks in the items sale)

Some examples of 'CANbus error free'.

They are only examples found with google, ... buy LED bulbs according to your requirements, type-size.

Thanks ciclo, I will look for this kind of can bus lamps! I'll keep thread updated!

Yesterday I got the PDC 8K unit which replaced my old 4K unit so I could finally test the front PDC but I encurred a problem: often obstacles are showed when there are not!

Here's a video:

https://youtu.be/o3p6xUWndm4

What do you think will cause the problem?

I thought sensors were dirty but I have cleaned them and problem remanins. :(

All sensors and PDC unit came from aliexpress so I was thinking problem cluld be related with the bad quality of front sensors (anyway rear sensors came from aliexpress too but they work perfectly). :?

I think that the Aliexpress PDC units have a new software wirh more functions, check if the words 'ghost detector' is written on the Aliexpress PDC unit.👻

Now seriously:
According to the video it seems that the problem only happens when the rear sensors are also active.
Check the connections (terminals, wires, connectors) that reach the PDC unit.
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

By other side, there is a 6R PDC button that is sold on Aliexpress that is not correct for 6R, maybe this is the problem.
This also happened to another Italian mate, but now I don't remember who.

Now that I check your autoscan, are you sure your PDC unit is fully compatible with PQ25?

Thank you ciclo, unfortunatelly I noticed front sensors do not work properly even when rear sensors are off (for example sometimes they have so long response time that I hear the beep when I'm nearly to hit the car in the front).

I'll check the connectors and the wirings but I'm pretty sure everything is fine because I checked them several times.

Maybe I can try to disconnect rear sensor connector and see if that affects the front sensors :!:

Anyway I read that a single faulty sensor may make the control unit go crazy so maybe a possible solution could be replace them all..

Yea I had a talk with that guy sometime ago but I purchased a genuine PDC buttom

Sorry ciclo that autoscan had been made before I changed the PDC unit.

I've not actually a recent autoscan but here are some more details about the unit I received:

Great! 8)

I suppose the best thing would have been to change the alarm horn since the original horn began to fail, however you already have the experience of installing the batteries in this model of alarm horns.
It has been a great idea to install the 'F' model, which is the one that replaces the 'C' model (etka).

Such HW is for other platforms (Passat B7, Golf 6, etc.).
Has it been flashed?

Thanks Fernando, in the end I had to follow your suggestion and replacing the whole unit since replacing the battery did not solve the problem with the old alarm..
I just hope purchasing a more recent replacement decreases the risk to face again the same problem very soon!

Sorry but I don't know If it had been flashed.

Is there any way to know If It had been?

When you talk about flash are you refering to the software?

Well, reading that HW could also be a mistake in your VCDS cable.

With flashing I mean update/modify the original software.
In the image in your previous posts it seems clear that the unit has not been flashed, you will have to investigate the malfunction in the PDC sensors.

PDC Update

Hi guys, after replacing the brand new sensors purchased on aliexpress with a genuine used set, font PDC works correctly.

Be carefull buying cheap replacement from China! You risk to spend money twice.
