How hard is it to fit a GT engine in to my 10L polo can you just plug in the GT ecu or do you have to change all the loom? Any one converted theres any advice?

kinda remember stuff about you having to change the loom - after all, you now have 4 injectors, an airflow meter and an idle switch if i remember rightly, all of which you didn't have before, and the wiring for them is something extra.

also if you can find a second anti roll bar, for the rear, that'll make things a bit better handling-wise. no more of that 1-litre drunken sway round the more extreme corners!

You will need the following to convert a 1.0L polo to a GT:

Engine
Gearbox
Wiring Loom
ECU
Ancillaries
Inline Fuel pump
Rear Axle (optional)
Dampered steering rack (optional)

For a proper job, you also want uprated suspension and vented front disc brakes.

Tbh, it's not worth bothering when you can buy GT's for a bit more than normal Mk 3 models.
