The wiring it's ok
Re: How to fix the 6N2 ABS Signal Outside Specifications Fault
I connect vcds and the fault I read is left front sensor problem. We delete the fault but comes again.
2 brand new sensors we change but the problem stay.

I’d say you more than likely have an internal break in the ABS wiring that feeds that sensor so you won’t see it. I’d replace the loom that goes through the wing to rule it out
Re: How to fix the 6N2 ABS Signal Outside Specifications Fault
Alex thank you for your fast answering mate.
that is, you are so sure that it is not the ABS unit and it is wiring loom?
I ask because my mekanic was check ohmmeter the wiring loom that feed the sensor from the unit and it's OK.
You think Something other?
Thank you very much.

I would pick up a replacement ABS module and see if the problem goes away. If you are confident the loom is ok, then you may have a faulty controller.

What type of glue did you use for close the ecu after repair?

Non acetoxy curing silicone
Sump gasket sealant for example or similar
Chemical cure silicones release vapour which can damage the circuitry

Re: How to fix the 6N2 ABS Signal Outside Specifications Fault
Thanks friend! Good Info!
Re: How to fix the 6N2 ABS Signal Outside Specifications Fault
Not so easy on the GTi 1.4 6N2
there`s not enough clearance to get the module on and off because of the master brake cylinder, i managed to get it off though had to heat up a knife to get into the case
and then levered it off i could feel a crack in the solder so i used flux and 50/50 solder did a good joint on both better than factory put the lid back on with silicone
now im struggling to get the module back on i might have to drain the system and take all the brake pipes off to get it back on, ive undone the servo on the front of the cylinder still dosnt make the clearance i need, ive took the coolant tank off to one side to make room as well think its in a awkward location probably take me another day to sort it out but glad i got this far thanks for the info

Is this LHD? On the RHD the master cylinder is the other side which makes it a very simple task. LHD sadly isn’t as easy

Hi,
I know this thread hasn't been active in some while but I have an intermittent ABS light on my 6n2 GTI (although now currently staying on), although haven't been able to read the fault codes to see if it's a sensor or pump
@alexperkins I've noticed you've offered help in the past and are based in Poole, as I'm in Bournemouth would you be willing to take a look?
Kind Regards
