I am thinking of changing my wipers for the GTI+. Please could you confirm if Bosch Aerotwins A864s is the proper fit.
Thanks in advance.
Yes they are the correct ones. Just installed a couple of hours ago and they are much better.

Hope this link works. If not it's the 864s on eBay and they are around the 20 quid mark

This thread prompted me to look out some spares for the future.

I’m a Bosch fan so searched for the A864S pack. Stunned to find Euro Car Parts had them listed at more than £50. Wow!

I used to go straight to ECP for stuff, but this reminded me to search around for everything, every time.

Landed on my doorstep for £17.35 instead via Amazon.
Euro car parts were good...10 years ago.

The current business model is to charge twice as much as anywhere else and then have a 50% off sale almost all of the time.

Can't hear anything with the radio on but they're definitely not quiet when the car is silent. Wondering if there's a problem with the screen itself.
Umm strange...
When I replaced mine with Bosch I noticed a difference right away.

What kind of screen wash do you use and have to tried cleaning the screen with a sponge and water to get rid of traffic film.

Its funny, im experiencing the exact same.

The OEM was rubbish, squeaky as hell.
Bosch Aerotwins, was super silent for a week
2 weeks on - now judder on the beginning "up" swipe, like when the rubber blade changes direction a *thud* is heard, but only on the upswing.
Starting to streak in certain spots ... again, with 2 week old blades.

Have cleaned the windshield with Ajax super glass cleaner, and a microfiber rag, both before and after changing the wipers.

Is it my windshield?

my wiper are also noisy.

Meguiars Windscreen Cleaner states it has a lubricating formula for easy slide action.

i wonder if waterless wash and shine will work on the windscreen for the wiper blades. I have seen a lot of detailers apply wax on windows.

My wife's 2019 GTI+ has noisy wipers, but they are effective at wiping.

My 2018 GTI+ had wipers that were ineffective and noisy, so they were changed for Bosch Areotwin A864S very early on in ownership and are still just about holding up. Will change next spring.
