Hi,
Can anyone recommend some bright interior LED lights to replace the gloomy existing ones i.e. front dome and map lights, rear dome and map lights, vanity mirror lights, footwell lights, boot light?
I'm presuming I will need some canbus and error free LED lights, so I can't just get any old LED lights?
Thanks in advance

Replacement led lights are something of a minefield. Lots of offerings on the likes of eBay, but finding reliable items which fit and don’t cause bulb failure messages and strange effects can be rather hit and miss. I bought complete sets for my Audi A3 and Polo 6C from Trups at E M Tuning. He is a site sponsor on the AudiSport forum with website at EMTuning.co.uk. He specialises in led lighting and is very knowledgable and helpful. I have absolutely no connection with him, but on the basis of the service I’ve received and the quality of the products I am pleased to recommend him. I have bought quite a lot from him, and If you mention that Mike C sent you you might even get a discount!

Thanks pal, I'll give him a go! There are so many sellers out there on Ebay and Ali Express. Good to get a recommendation!!
Re: LED interior lights
I'm also on the AudiSport forum! Not been on it for a while as I was a fellow Audi A3 8V owner until baby daughter arrived which meant selling the A3 and getting a pram friendly X3 for myself and a small Polo as a runaround for the missus!Mikeso51 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2019 3:59 pm ahfh1

Yes, it's ebay
But it is the one I put in my 2017 gti
Even includes trim removal tool and lights up really well

Re: LED interior lights
Does anyone know the correct way of re-installing the rear dome interior dome light as there is a mounting bracket that goes above the headlining.
When i tried to do it on my previous 6R it was very difficult, do you just remove the clear lenses rather than just the whole fitting?

Re: LED interior lights
the interior lights are not monitored for lamp failure
so the use of "canbus" ones are pointless and won't last as long as they tend to just use resistors across the input.

Re: LED interior lights
I replaced all of my interior lights with LED for not very much money. I posted links and stuff here viewtopic.php?f=56&t=69660&start=15#p549258
The links might not let you order but the details are there. I've probably got a load in the garage which I could get rid of...
