I think it looks OK, are you thinking of doing the whole car? For me it just looks a bit odd with only the tailgate done, if it was just on the roof it would probably look good, but the whole car would look better.RichTea wrote: Sun Jan 12, 2020 8:17 pm Just for the looks. I wrap cars on the side and thought I'd see what it looks like, it looks a lot better in person and it doesn't help that the picture is edited

I look forward to seeing what you go for in the end, or the matt black with red flake on the whole car. I suppose the good thing about wrap is if you don't like it it's easily removed.RichTea wrote: Sun Jan 12, 2020 8:50 pm i agree and will be doing a full wrap on the car soon but i can't decide what colour to go for??? There is some mod talk here, but I'd estimate that less than 25% of the members here are interested in performance or aesthetic mods on their cars while they are still within warranty.RichTea wrote: Mon Jan 13, 2020 11:41 am No worries, i made the mistake of thinking this was a modified cars forum when its not.
I'd be keen on a remap or tuning box once the warranty runs out, but VW do all they can to duck out of warranty obligations whenever they can and engine remaps and boxes are very detectable these days by the manufacturers - VW reliability is distinctly average these days too! Also, the majority of members here are in the UK where most insurers don't like you modding your car without a hefty premium increase, even if it's purely aesthetic.

Yes I am, from Porto.
I also thought of LED but I already knew that would give errors. I've at home some load resistors used on my last car but I avoid messing around the car wiring.
This bulbs aren't road legal but I don't think that will be a problem since they have the same color of the headlights.
