@ josh........ women, cant live with em, cant get your shirts ironed without 'em ;) --- or more precisely can't not get your shirts ironed with em
everythings cool now :D and seriously its far, far better than the world of hurt metz seems to be in!

((... though im still getting the evil eye for considering any tyres other than formula 1 autocentre's £14.95 budget jobs (i was thinking more along the lines of michelin exalto(?) or dunlop sp2000s - good stuff?? but hardly bank breaking on 155s) and a Hi-MD player, rather than... i dunno... more tiles?
(all that from someone who wanted me to squander grandads trust fund on some crappy rover like hers))

@ polopowah.... kwaliteh!

Do people actually try and pick a fight with you while you're having *dinner* at a Burger King???

@Tahrey: Just relax and get yourself a rubber mat for the bathroom... I've learned a long time ago that arguing with your mother WILL NOT change anything, especially her.

You're having problems with a new bathroom... Now imagine leaving a (n almost) suburban house with a pool and a large "back room" for a flat near the city centre which actually cost more than the house but has about what, a third of the useable area? Not to mention I used to WALK to campus and then had to drive about 10 miles to get to my classes after the move.

mmm s'why i put it there at minimum size, so its less like shouting into space.. more like at an empty wall. stops it building up. don't really like arguing but it just happens sometimes.

know it could be a whole lot worse after all! (already got the mats.... twelve quid a throw so they match and dont cause more aggro but worth it)

anyway tonight i am doing college/work work, drinking tesco lager and pondering how great the money saving potential of the internet is - I just saved £63 on a new minidisc player (!) and got a £5 voucher for the local already-cheapest tyre emporium.. plus a £10-a-tyre rebate form from michelin. Result! (so long as Energy E3B's are any cop)

what was the deal with the flat babe?

Well, back in 1998 my mother basically decided it would be better if we all moved to a flat closer to the city centre. That was pretty much it, really. My dad would not argue; and at the time I couldn't afford to stay in the house, which was later rented and has since been destroyed by the lodgers - well, not exactly, but it looks different now and I still see that place as home since I grew up there. :(

My point was, don't worry about the deathtrap bathroom! :)

BTW the real money-saving potential of the internet lies with eBay and the tematic forums with Buy/Sell/Trade sections. Cyber-flea-markets!

Yeah im over it, bigger fish to fry now (perplexing work stuff). Just amazing how an argument can brew up like that and suddenly the one whose been hurt by the bad stuff is in the wrong! :D

Your tale of woe sounds mental in comparison! Was there any logic behind it?

(incidentally to that, our kichen/pantry/utility room/toilet are allegedly also set to get a major and mind-bending shuffle around despite having been a-ok for at least a decade - whilst the actual things wrong with the house e.g. kitchen taps that merely trickle, knackered carpet on the stairs and landing, etc, get neglected). ahem.

i've so gotta try getting onto selling stuff with ebay soon. got crap that can be shifted :D
at the very least, a left hand set of brake shoes and some other junk!

(hey haysey, if you're reading - would that LED strip fit a mk3? those keys got REAL white leds in?)
