Fitting LED bulbs

Post by Bepis »

Due to it now going dark at 4pm meaning I drive to and from work in the dark, I find the find the dipped beam quite dim on my car, the bulbs are probably fairly old and seem easy enough to replace.

My question is has anyone had any luck with fitting LED H7 bulbs?

The reviews and product description for these Phillips bulbs seem to suggest they work with reflectors

However I don’t want to be that d**k that dazzles everyone else.

The reviews for their uprated halogen bulbs seem to be quite good as well but I imagine LED bulbs are going to be brighter and have a white beam.

I bought these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/123898027025

Nice white light with quite a good beam pattern due to their thin design. Additionally, no fans or bulky ballast - they have been working great and fit within the rubber cap. However, because I don't have projectors they do have a very thin halo ring effect.

Thanks for the reply but in the end I went for Phillips x treme vision halogens. Much brighter and a bit of a whiter colour than what was fitted.
