A google search for ‘double sided tape for car number plates’ and you should find what you want.mjsaville wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2020 10:20 pmWhere did you source the double sided tape from?POLO Clive wrote: Thu Mar 19, 2020 11:22 am First modification, new number plates stuck on with double-sided tape (I hate them attached with screws), and the front one cut down by approximately 15mm to fit properly in the bumper recess.![]()

I tend to use the 3M versions. I had used cheaper ebay specials a few years age and the number plate gradually started to slide off during the summer and i didnt notice the front plate had fallen off until after I got pulled over for itmjsaville wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2020 10:20 pmWhere did you source the double sided tape from?POLO Clive wrote: Thu Mar 19, 2020 11:22 am First modification, new number plates stuck on with double-sided tape (I hate them attached with screws), and the front one cut down by approximately 15mm to fit properly in the bumper recess.![]()

Re: Clive's new Polo
Well it's been an enjoyable four years with the Polo, but it's time to move on. I'm tired of waiting for the ID2, so I've decided to take a half-way step into a hybrid, yesterday I ordered the MG3 Hybrid+ Trophy model in Arctic White. I'll still probably go for the ID2, but not for a couple of years now, and the MG will give me a taste of electric before I do.
Anyway, thanks for all your help and advice over the years, I haven't been a very active forum member, but it's been a pleasant and helpful place to visit when I've needed to.
All the best.
Clive.

Good luck with the MG. I’m also considering going hybrid for my next car before going all electric. Is the MG a self charging or plug in hybrid?POLO Clive wrote: Sun Jun 16, 2024 9:39 am Well it's been an enjoyable four years with the Polo, but it's time to move on. It's self charging mate, decent reviews, and only 19.25k through Carwow, happy days.SRGTD wrote: Sun Jun 16, 2024 10:19 am

I’ll be interested to hear your views on life with a hybrid, and how it compares to the Polo.POLO Clive wrote: Sun Jun 16, 2024 1:48 pmIt's self charging mate, decent reviews, and only 19.25k through Carwow, happy days.SRGTD wrote: Sun Jun 16, 2024 10:19 am

Re: Clive's new Polo
I to will be very interested to hear from a genuine owner as to their experience.
The tests in motor magazines frequently don't tell the full story (EG. what the car is actually like to live with day-to-day).
I must admit that the price looks very tempting and as the OP says "tests look good".
It might be something on my short list when my current PCP comes to an end on the Polo GTI.
Especially as the RRP of the Polo GTI appears to be going up at a fair rate!
