You don't happen to have links for these? I'm struggling to find either

Interesting. I’ve just looked On VW site and the webchat link isn’t there. I wonder if it’s related to the scaling back from Covid. The customer call centre has been closed. The VWFacebook page still has the messenger link though. I’ve copied the address below for you.

My dealer has a skeleton staff with online link. I emailed them and they contacted a regional manager who was remote working and they contacted VW UK directly about my order. Maybe your dealer has something similar?

Have you registered for an account on VW website. When I log i there it shows a more up to date build status then the app which looks to be hopeless and out of date.

Thanks, I've messaged them but got an auto reply saying that their customer service centre is shut so I'll probably not yet a reply from that in a while

VW website shows the same as the app, stuck on build week confirmed. I've seen that vw South Africa has another chat portal, wonder if it's worth trying them?

One could always call the factory to find out about production:
+27 41 994 5941 or +27 41 994 5615

I’ve tried that with vw South Africa last week and they were lovely and sent me a nice letter saying they can’t help as they only support local customers

Just got a call from my local dealership. Collecting my new toy on Friday. Can’t wait as it’s been at the dealer since 20th March.
