Polo GTI carpets

Post by Tiqtaqto »

Hi guys,

What brand of carpets for the foot wells do you use? The VW ones look nice, but I thought having GTi specific ones would be quite a good addition.

Thanks.

When I ordered my GTI+ front and rear mats came as standard so VW ones. No GTI logo, just red stitching around the piping.

If you can afford it the best mats are diamond car mats as the standard ones won’t last long as they are so thin and with no heel protection pad so you ware a hole in the carpet. The diamond car mats protect more of the floor and are easy to keep clean they are not cheap about £150 for the set

I prefer the OEM rubbermats. Carpet mats look scruffy in no time.

+1 for OEM rubber mats. Hard wearing, good fit, the same fastenings as the carpet mats so they stay in place, and a small raised lip around the edge means that dirt and debris stay on the mat until it’s removed from the car for cleaning.

I’ve got them in my previous generation Polo GTI and after a quick wipe over they look as good as new.
