I need help Steering wheel

Post by JuanmiGTI »

Hello my friendas, i have a problem...
I installed the steering wheel of a 6C GTI in my Polo 6r ... my problem is that the lights on the MF buttons do not turn on
My BCM is the one in the photo that I attach. The horn, the dsg paddles and the navigation buttons work, but the backlight buttons do not ... https://imgur.com/a/LcjmFHY

Yes, this is to be expected. You need a BCM 7E0 for the button illumination to work.

Yes and maybe.

Yes 7E0937090D will work but not all of them.
You need one for the ROW market (that includes Europe) to make sure it's the correct remote carrier frequency for the remote locking key.

The same applies to all 7E0 BCMs. If you can make sure the donor vehicle is European, you're good.
I think it will require only two extra wires to be installed between the instrument cluster and the BCM.

Hi JuanmiGTI.

Some more wire is necessary due to the old electrical installation for your original BCM 7H0 937 089 D. (58 signal)

T73b/ 1 must be moved to T73b/ 4, for which a new wire with new contact terminals is better.
New wire from T6/ 3 Dimmer connector to T73b/ 4 BCM white connector.

---
I recommend you contact firegrafik to buy the new 7E0 937 090 BCM Max ... D, E are the latest models.
(0 = implies the correct frequency for your 6R Europe)

---
In other questions you asked on the forum:
Your original 7H0 BCM Max can manage automatic lights.
And the new 7E0 BCM Max too.
